Enjoying my 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona 1500
I'm a new member. I used to race a 1973 Dodge Challenger 340 stock for fun. I blew a piston and had to sell the car. It was my only car to get to work. I've had several Dodge trucks but I'm really enjoying my 2005 limited edition Dodge Ram Daytona 1500. It's a fun ride and gets excellent gas mileage around town, 15.5 mpg. I received a brochure from Dodge and saw the truck I purchased Sept. 2. The owner had never seen the truck and I asked him to get one for me. He did and went above and beyond call of duty for me. I was very pleased as I live in a small rural town. I didn't want to drive over 200 miles to go to another dealer. I'm always getting questions if the truck belongs to my husband or boyfriend. I smile and tell them no it's my truck. I also attract a lot of attention from teenagers and boys in grammar school asking their moms to turn around so they can see my truck. I've had lots of nice comments about my "way cool truck" from teenagers, little boys. They like the spoiler and the style of the truck. The color is Go Mango and I like it. I couldn't get the license plate I wanted so I got DYTONA. I've had a few people ask what it stands for. Someone else has DAYTONA so I settled for the one I got. I also own a bigger truck, 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT w/hemi 4x4.
I logged on to find out about the new Dodge Challenger and decided to join. I would like to know how many females own this same truck?
Very happy Dodge gal.

Thanks for the welcome and the comment about my new truck. I love the truck its awesome and rides nice.
I'm glad I asked the owner of the Dodge dealer to get the truck for me. I barely touch the gas pedal and
off it goes with the nice sound of the dual pipes!

Nancy,
Welcome to DF. This is the place to come for getting ideas, checking out other peoples rides, asking questions and sharing knowledge. Lots of good people here.
I used to race Challengers and Chargers, big and small blocks, at a local dirt strip many years ago. Always liked the SB Mopars. Currently have a built 340HP in my '74 Charger.
Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new truck. That is a very nice setup. Thought about one but ended up getting the Magnum RT. Have an older Ram and neeeded a daily drive to replace my Sebring.
Anyway, Glad to have you aboard. Hope to be seeing you around the forum. Post a pic of your new ride sometime. We always enjoy them over here.
