1999 dodge ram 1500 360
I changed spark plugs, wires, distrib cap. While holding the throttle at a constent rpm the engine will surge a few hundred rpms and return to normal or it will start to die and return to normal. Starts ok and runs for awhile before it begins to spudder and die. mileage is 87,000 any anwsers? thanks for your input.
Welcome to the site. I don't have any ideas on how to fix your problem but I"m sure someone will be able to help you out. Try posting in the Ram section too. They'll probably be able to help you.

Hhhhhhmmmmmmm,
I had a problem with my RPM's jumping up 300 rpm or so while at a steady cruising speed. Took it to the shop and had the TPS replaced. that Fixed it for awhile, then it started acting up again....only the second time it was the Torque Converter....just some things to keep in mind maybe?????? however mine would not spudder and die......that part of it maybe sounds like a fuel issue...rpm surge sounds like it could the TPS sensor...just some sugggestions..any check engine light on or anything ??
