Where did you get Shelby "crab" wheels that are that frickin' nice? My Shelby Z's wheels were shot around the outsides on the polished aluminum part.[sm=smiley13.gif]

I have a buddy/fellow gearhead here in town and in talking about cars with his in laws to be, found out that his future fatherin law had a daytona shelby z new in 88. He wrecked it in 89 and saved the wheels. So we went out to his shed and low and behold there were four crab wheels in mint condition. He said he would take 50 bucks for the set so I took them.
I didnt have anything to put them on but, my breeze had hubcaps that I didn't like at all; so new tires and the crab wheels made an inexpensive but great look I thought.[8D]

That's so lucky, those wheels aren't ever in that condition anymore... at least, none I've seen. I think they look PERFECT on the Breeze... gives it that little something extra.

Thanks, I still have one more set of crab wheels but they are not in nearly as good condition as the ones that were on the breeze[8D].

I have only found nice crab wheels for sale once at the Winter Classics, when I didn't have the money, and they were better than showroom perfect. I've never seen a set that perfect before or since.

Heres another question, for my 03 stratus sxt, are there any performance upgrades you can buy for it? It seems like everything I've found is meant to go on a neon. I cant seem to find anything for the startus with the four cylinder motor.

Thanks

OK here comes 2 more pics, not great pics but good ones i think.

The first is of my 03 stratus sxt, all factory original but; in the garage for it is a new bra and hood slip and rear molded rock guards.

#2 is my 87 Shelby Daytona, not a great pic but remember she has been sitting in a damp garage for almost two years. So she is a wee bit dirty in this pic and just got back from the glass repair place where she got a new windshield. Most of this car is original except the interior around the dash has been replaced with parts from a 89 shelby. I like the 89 interior mods a little better than the 87. Also it has a custom grant gt steering wheel and 16" pumpers also off of a 89. The motor is mostly stock except it is a 2.2 liter with a new head for a 2.5 something the garage said I should not do; but after installation the car got a little faster. In the works are a 89 front clip and lower ground effects.and eventually paint, for now I'll clean her up wax her and put on a bra to hide imperfections. Im also gonna paint and addon a spoiler from a 89 shelby, its almost ready to put on.[8D]

Nice, thanks for sharing the pics. Is your Shelby Z a Turbo I or a Turbo II? I've seen quite a few Shelby Z's and I've seen them with both and Auto Zone lists both engines under the Shelby Z name.
