Default New to the board

Hey there everyone! My name is Rodger. I just bought a 1991 Dakota 2wd with the 3.9 V6, a 5 spd and 8' bed. All the glass was blown out and either the rear end or trans has a problem. I only paid $125 for it so I plan on sticking some money into it and keeping it for a while.

The reason I joined is, Im looking to do a 2" suspension lift to it and cant find one anywhere on the web. Can anyone give me a hand here please? I bottom out everytime I leave my driveway with a load and its really pissing me off.

I'll post a pic next time I post.

Thanks!

Rodger

The people at the dakota board, or any board on here, are really nice...

As for your transmission problem, thats a tough one. Since its a manual it could be anything from the clutch or the gears... Check out APSprecision.com, they sell good trans, not sure if they carry manuals but still.

Another option is to stick a 408 Stroked motor in that thing, (408 stroker = 360 - 5.9 V8) . Or even a 390 stroker (318 - 5.2 V8) ... That is, if you got the money to do so =D
