Default Possible Ram Owner

Hey all, Im starting driving soon, 16 in a few days and halfway through drivers ed., and I was majorly considering the Dodge Ram. My first choice would be a truck then a somewhat fast car but my dad want me to get a truck because he always says the one thing new drivers should always have is visibility and being able to see all around, and hey, whats better than a truck for visibility? He likes trucks alot too ( Ford guy but theres a reason for that- explain later ) Anyways, price is no matter really unless it goes over 35 thousand. Pricey I know but my dad would rather spend more money on a truck then get a cheap and fast car. Plus getting a truck is more responsible ( Well, at least untill Im tempted to take it offroad ).

Anyways, getting back to the Ford thing, my dad likes ford because he gets a new truck FREE every two years and he gets to shop for it and pick it out himself with whatever options he wants, but the only requirement is that it has to be a Ford ( And no he does'nt work for a Ford dealer , haha ) . Hes one lucky person, darn him [:@]. Anyways, get this, he also gets free maintenance and gas ( diesel ) and everything thats has to do with his truck ( accesories, radios, etc ). But hey, for a free truck every two years I would'nt mind a Ford either.

Welcome to DF. This is the place to come for getting ideas, checking out other peoples rides, asking questions and sharing knowledge. Lots of good people here. Glad to have you aboard.

Glad to hear that education comes first. That's important. Good luck on getting your truck.
