Default welcome me!!!yehaaaw

howdy.

From winnipeg, manitoba Canada, been involded in 4x4 ing for a few years in a jeep.
bought my 99 1500 QC last month, man i like it. Mint condition too, interior and exterior. Going through used car dealership warranty to have the engine replaced ( hopefully) as they sold it to me with something seriously wrong with it. THere s bearings and metal in the oil pan and she loses oil pressure at adle when warmed up.

I used to drive a lifted Jeep and did almost all of my own work. Except for changing my gears. Ran fully synthetic fluid in everything, brake fluid, tranny fluid, diff's gear oil transfer case..Did a lift, custom K&N intake, electric fan from a taurus, bedlined the interior. Was alot af fun, but jsut not practical as i camp ALL summer and there just wasnt room for me wife 2 kids and a dog, well i had room, but my poor dog got stuck crammed between the kids.

I have a few questions about tires that just never seem to get answered from the posts ive read.

It came with P245/75R16 BSW All Season Tires, but ill want to go bigger, what size can i go to without having to regear or put ona lift? It looks like there is room for much begger tires under there.

anyways i will look forward to your opinions and hopefully they will be helpful.

Welcome to DF!... your gonna love the ram. I had a 2000 QC 4x4 with the 5.9 motor and spent many days modding it and getting the most out of it. as for tires... 285's is about as tall as i'd recommend you go w/o a gear swap. it'll be slow off the line but you can balance that out with some performance mods.
