Just bought in!
Hello everybody!
Last Friday I picked up what I think was a great deal. I have been doing some home improvements and very much needing a truck. I have actually wanted one for the last 10 years, but I came across one I could not pass up. My primary focus was on the $3000 beater truck, and I needed an extended cab for the leg room (I'm 6'5"). I knew the Ram would be good for me since a have a friend with one, but actually tried on a 90' fors xtra cab and passed on it.
Then I found it: a '98 Ram quad-cab two wheel drive with posi and a 360, fully loaded with the exception of leather. Price $5500. The catch (sort of) was high miles. 250,000 of them. But, the guy has kept it incredibly well maintained (reciepts since new), and those are highway miles. It looks and rides like new. The wife and I grabbed it without negotiation, and put it to work right away, hauling dirt from our yard and filling up with goodies at home cheap-o.
Only complaints: 1. stinks of cigarette smoke [:'(] 2. slight water pump leak 3. onboard computer does not work.

CONGRATS!! What a hell of a deal!! The smoking stench... try Febreeze... do it ever time you get in and get out of the truck, eventually you'll have it beat. 
Post some picture of the awesome deal... what color is it??
