Default Newbie w/2000 RAM

I'm a newbie to Dodge. I had a '91 F-150 & loved it (no flames please) but had to trade it for the ..... family van ..... in 2000. I've been going through truck withdrawl ever since. In March I bought the 2000 black, extended cab RAM (sorry no pictures). It has its list of issues... but I love driving it. Man does it shine up nice.

I'll probably put an Extang Blackmax on it, and maybe some hi-gloss nerfs. Maybe flowmasters.

My family's traditionally been a GM family - guess I'm the wayward son. I don't know what it is about these trucks, but I'm lovin' it! I looked at a 2004 4.7L and was really suprised by the differences. I want one.

Issues,

Well, gas mileage really sucks - I knew it would be bad, but I get 13-14 and 1/3 - 1/2 of my driving is 60 Mph. I had no idea it would be that bad.

Another issue yet to be addressed is the air conditioning. It's been leaking. The dealer I bought it from charged it up once for me and I didn't think anything about it, until recently. It started blowing hot air again. From reading this forum, I'm betting its an evaporator core. It's hard to say if the dealer knew this, as they only had it for a month or two before I bought it.

I had to have a new drive shaft installed too. Fortunately the warrenty covered that.

Anyhow, here is a pic:
