Default Just saying Hi

Hi,
My name is Jeff and i'm a new member. I come from the old school of horsepower meaning back in my days we didn't beef up an engine with chips, turbos, free flow exhaust ect... there is no doubt that todays engines lack the serious head snapping horsepower of the 1960's and early 70's. Todays generation really doesn't know real horsepower or how to beef up an engine the proper way. The real engine mechanics are long gone, just like the speed shops. In high school I drove a 1970 Dodge Charger with a 340 Cubic Inch engine that I never got beat in a race in. I'm talking about breaking the tires lose at 60 mph with a 727 torque flight tranny and a 410 posi rear end. Back in my days Dodge deliberately under-rated the horsepower to keep insurance premiums low, pretty cool huh. Knowing Mopars pretty well I can tell you that the 3.7 litre magnum engine I have in my 2004 Dodge Ram pick up is just begging to scream! Unfortunately I cannot find any high performance parts for this engine. If I could find the right parts I could blow any of todays Hemis off the road.
