Well I guess after you have read all the posts here praising those thing you just have to have one. Consider that a turbocharger is spinning at 10 to 15,000 before it even starts to make boost. A roots supercharger uses 50 % of the power it makes just to turn it. But who knows maybe a 1/8 electric motor can produce 1000 cfm.

^^ Ha ha

For the love of god PLEASE stay away from these things. They are a RESTRICTION!!! Not a power adder! They can "push" less air into your enginethanthe atmospheric pressure would all by itself. Complete joke.

After installing it you might feel a little boost when you flip the switch, but that's only because you went from a HUGE restriction with it off, to a bad restriction when it's spinning. lol

This is the ONLY electric supercharger that works...
Most of the ebay ones are Boat Bilge pump blowers and move well under 750 CFM

Yup, but that other one really isn't feasable, for the same money you can get a real supercharger that you never have to "charge" up.

Yes but it DOES work except you have to add three car batteries to run it

What I was trying to say was do a search. Do the math. Thats why they sell those things ,nobody does the math. As for the other one, 3 small motors draw more power than one big one .Look at what a 5 hp compress motor draws. Then look what 2 2hp motors draw. If a 318 need a 500 cfm carb under vacuum how much cfm do you need to produce 2lbs of boost.

Most of those electric superchargers(which are just cheap blower motors) flow about 250cfm,your engine draws that much around idle already,as for boost pressure(compressed air) which is what matters as well, there is next to nothing.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

crazy thought, it wouldn't be logical, but do you think it would be possible to use an air compressor to boost your car?

hell yea!
a typical household compressor maxes out at 100-125 psi. that's like, 100 psi of boost!!

but it only puts out a constant 5-10 cfm at that pressure

so hell yes an air compressor can boost the **** out of your RC car! on a real car, not so much. except for short bursts of maybe a second.

but remember that nitrous is just compressed NO2. It works not by increasing boost, but by increasing the percentage of useful stuff in there (O2).
