Default Nitrous Help

Hey everyone I want to give my 318 in my 99 Dakota some more power. I hear its a good bang for the buck, now my question for all you guys out there is since I have been looking at a lot of the kits out on the market but none of them have really stood out to me. What can you guys suggest for a good safe boost?

A 100 hp wet shot should be fine without hurting the engine or tranny. N2O isnt like those Fast anf Furryless movies. A 100 horse shot feelslike kicking down to passing gear. Is the 99 A direct port injection engine or a throttle body injection engine? If its a DPI engine this is a good starting point.

You will still need some small parts like Solenoid brackets, Wire, and A wide open throttle switch to complete the kit, but it is a good starting point.

I would recomend a Window switch for activation, they will turn the kit on only at WOT and a pre set RPM (set by you) These run around 100.00$

If you need any more help, let me know!

venom kits and zex kits are great kits for starters and are easy to install. make sure you run copper plugs and like the other guy said, window switches are a good safeguard too.

i just installed a zex wet nitrous kit in my 05 dak. all pics are in the third gen section. kit was 625. complete. even came with a purge valve and bottle warmer. my nozzle is located in the intake tube as you can see from the pics. works off of the tps sensor for all failsafe driving. when activated will only turn on when tps is at w.o.t. no buttons to push or anything

I wouldnt put it on a stock motor, the pistons on the 5.2 are thin an week, its the main limiter when i comes to big power.
