Default Supercharged Ram

Hi everyone, new to this forum. I just happened to be surfin the net for some info & saw a post from one of your members in regards to a supercharged Ram. Sorry cant recall the members name but the post was a couple of months ago.I live in australia & sometimes have trouble getin info for my ram since there are hardly any here and no one knows anything about them.

Sorry if this is a little long winded Ill try to keep it short. I have fitted a powerdyne supercharger to my 02 Ram 1500 5.9. It is awsome & would recommend it to anyone however my issue is that it didnt come in a kit & I get some very frightening pinging. I fitted a msd 6al wehich comes with boost retard. That fixed the pinging but robbed a great deal of power at the same time.

Recently the msd died & I am wandering before i replace it if anyone knows of a better option? Also Iput it on a dino and found it was running out of fuel at high revs. I would be most interrested in hearing from your member that has fitted the same system in his 98 Ram.

For your info the truck produced 255hp at the wheels but was running out of fuel and pinging. Dont know if that is good or not but definantly better than stock.

Iknow this is not a forum for superchargers and if I have posted in the wrong spot please forgive me. I the meantime Thanksalot in advance

PS: is ther a programmer available to remap the ecu for timing curve?

You better find a tuner in your area that specializes. Ping, lean conditionsand SC will eventually equal blown motor.

I'm no expert but since you are running more air to your engine you could need bigger injectors as well as some new programming

No tuner available here. no one has the software. Larger injectors sounds like a good idea but doesnt solve the problem of the truck runnin out of fuel at high revs. A higher volume fuel pump would fix it but which one?
