I would diffently keep the turbo under the hood, because I have heard of alot of problems with the remote mounted turbo systems. People have been having problems with the oiling system to the turbo, in which the turbo is siezing up from the lack of oil. I would diffently use a 4" to 5" down pipe and a single 3" exhaust all the way to the back.

I'd be more inclined to run 2.5" to the turbo, and then atleast 3" out. The reason is because you will lose exhaust velocity and heat with the larger pipe. If you think that 2.5" is too small, how big do you think the inside of the turbine housing of the turbo is? My turbo hasa 1.32 a/r turbinehousing and I assure you it's not even 1" diameter inside.
