turboing a 360 carb?
My new project I'm starting and it going to be a 77 plymouth arrow close to a dodge colt but with a shorter wheel base. The engine that in it a 2.0 mistu is getting yank and I putting a 360 4 barrel carb with a 727 trans. Well I got a rebuilt turbo of an old ford turbo diesel. It a t04B with a 1.00 a/r on the exhaust and what appears to be a .75 compressor plenty big for a 5.9. How would I go about doing this. carb in front of the turbo or can I get away with after? I would like to intercool if possible. Is the easiest way of getting to my goal would be to take a wire harness and engine computer with intake and put on my 84 block? Also what are the limits to the boost that I can run?
My main goal at the end of all this is atleast 400 rwhp and 2400 running wieght including the driver. Car right now wieghts 2100 pounds with full inside and options.

if you are gonna turbo a 5.9 than punch it out to a 408. this will give you better rwhp and a more reliable engine..most companies like lunati have these kits instore because of the r/t dakotas with the 5.9
I think I keeping it a 360 for now since the motor only got 34,xxx miles on it. But I found a website that tell me how to convert a carb for boost.
here the link I found.

the easy way it to do a rear mount turbo im working on one now for an durango,i got a high pressure air hat which will fit most standard carb then all u need is braided oil lines with an electric oil pump and run it to a 4 qrt can then run it through a filter back to the turbo ,,,i got all the parts for less that $1200
I know you already have a turbo, but in my eyes, the easiest way to do it would be get two smaller turbos... one for each side.. pipe them both into the intercooler, then to the intake
Are you looking to rebuild the motor? cheap project?

Trust me I sticking with the single since it take up less space. Rear mounting the turbo I got won't work for me. I don't plan on this being easy thing to do. I've got the hat for the carb already along with a flange for the turbo to mount.
