Hello I'm looking to see if anyone is near Burlington, VT as I am trying to purchase some gears from someone there and am having problems with him wanting to ship. I think he feels since I'm in Texas that its a scam. Anyone that could help would be greatly appreciated.

Why does he think you are a scam? Are you wanting them shipped before you pay or something?

 

Well I finally got a hold of him and were gonna work it out. He was thinking I was gonna send a check and if it didn't clear he would be screwed. After calling him and not getting the answering machine he was good to go. He doesn't do much buying and selling online so I guess he was just sceptical of the whole idea of trusting someone.

 

A check? What's that?? lol...most everyone uses paypal these days,. Much safer.

 

And that's exactly what I told him. He has a PayPal but has never received money only paid for items with it. Said he's gonna read up on receiving money and see how it works. Think he's still skeptical because it's not in his bank account, I told him how it works. So hopefully by weeks end I'll have some new gears.

if all else fails just have him wait till check clears his account and then ship parts.
