Default Mitsubishi Raider

Recent updates on the order line include a "Dakota Raider". Platform designated "NM". Current Daks run the "ND" platform. Available with a 3.7L & 4.7L, usual choice of trannies, and showed very limited stand alone options. Club and Quad w/ 4x2 and 4x4 availabilty. The only options showing (above and beyond the normal trailer tow group, block heater, bedliner etc.) were a "Special Appearance Group (Auto-dim mirror, special instrument panel bezel, premium vinyl door trim w/ map pocket, 16x8 alloy wheels and UConnect)and a very extensive "Sound Group" (368 watt amp, 6 "Alpine" speakers w/ 10" Sub, AM/FM 6 disc w/ MP3 capability, Sirius Sat radio, steering wheel audio controls and bucket seats). I know Mistubishi showed their concept truck on a Dak platform with this name. Anyone got more info??

There is no dakota raider. Only the mitsu raider, built on the dakota platform. We start building production models after our Aug. changeover.

In our TOPS system it clearly denotes a Raider. Why would a Dodge dealer have access to that?

Just like jgralka said. Because Dodge is making the Raider for Mitsubushi. Only thing different from the Dakota is sheetmetal.

looks like ND = d for dodge and NM = m for mitsubishi
somewhere way back a few months ago I posted 2 pics of the new "raider" when it was at the Dallas Auto Show...

There should seriously be a law against ugly trucks with gray matte plastic on it....especially ones made from good vehicles....

That second pic is exactly why little kids should be kept on leashes or people shouldn't be aloud to have kids if they can't control them. You know that little kid was just running around like a wildman. [:@]

Back to the point. I'm not a fan of the front end. It looks like the front end of new Galant and Eclipse.

yeh, my kid doesnt run wild like that or I will thrash him... but at the Dallas Auto Show there are so many kids and people there it is sometimes hard to get a clear shot at whatever your trying to take a pic of.

And I have noticed that Dodge is doing the same thing, alot of their vehicles are all getting the same front end treatments, making it hard to distinguish from a distance one car from another.
