Toyota recalls double for 2005
It may seem as if Toyota can do no wrong these days but the reports are in and Toyota doesn't look quite so good. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data on recalled vehicles through November 17th show the number of Toyota's with problems have doubled in the past year.
In 2004 1.1 million Toyota's were recalled and records show 2.4 million vehicles have been recalled this year. In comparison for 2003 Toyota on recalled about 210,000 vehicles.
Industry analysts say that this trend isn't uncommon for a company that is expanding as rapidly as Toyota. Or could this be a sign that Toyota is starting to slip? Read the full article after the jump.
