Default 2004-2006 Ram SRT-10 Oil by 94RT10Ohio

Items purchased
- M1 M1-204 filter, if you want another brand look it up. $11
- M1 full synthetic 10W-30 oil, 2 5qt jugs, $22.97 each.

Tools required
-9/16" wrench.
- Jack
-Oil catch pan

-Jack up the truck up from the passenger side. Does not need much lift to get under it enough.

-The oil plug is on the back side of the oil pan., not to hard to get to.Using a 9/16" wrench pullthe plug. Let the oil drain then put the plug back in. Make sure your pan can hold 8.5 qts of oil.

-Remove the filter. The filter is located on the front of the engine, passenger side. The filter is installed vertically, this means you can put oil in it before you install it to help get oil pressure sooner on the first start. Also put oil on the seal so it will come off easy the next time.

-Fill the truck with 8.5 qts of oil if you replace the filter,8 qts if you do not replace the filter, but I never recommend doing an oil change without a filter change. Keep in mind, if you put oil in the filter in the previous step deduct the amount you put in from the 8.5. You want a TOTAL of8.5 qts.

-Run thetruck for a couple minutes and check for leaks, then lower the truck off the jack.

Always remember to recycle your oil! Many parts stores accept used oil.
