Default 84 318 2bbl Lean Burn stalling

My 84 5th Ave w/ 318 2bbl Lean Burn stalls once in a while the engine could be stone cold or up to operating temp, it only stalls when I put it in gear either forward or reverse, I tuned it up checked the timing, alls good, what else other than changing the carb should I look for? Also is there a way to get rid of the Lean Burn set up and make it a "normal" set up i.e. carb fuel pump, air cleaner, and exhaust.

The lean burn can be converted to standard electronic ignition. I have not done it in about 20+ years so I cannot remember everything that you will need, but if you just google "Lean burn conversion" there is plenty of info there ( just avoid any advice from "Mopar Jamie").

hello. i have a 79 dodge magnum with the e58 motor and it has a lean burn carb and controller box. i found a kit on summit for like 150 bucks that comes with a new distrib and orange ecu box. but you will still need a new carb.

i had a ply same year same engine. same trouble. what was wrong? the intake manifold was cracked letting exhaust gass into the the intake side. took me one and a half years to figure it out. this trouble is the same as a vacuum leek. ie dead spot on trying to move out.
