I DID find the build sheet but it wasn't in good shape. i can read most of what is on there. i will send you a pic of it tomorrow. I'm about as novice as one can be when it comes to getting this car back on the road. I joined this forum to ask questions and get advice on getting the car back on the road. So far everyone has been alot of help. How would i use the build sheet? who would i call? I spent the day today cleaning and detailing the interior. Check out some of my pics in the forum. Thanks for your help.

I took one of the valve covers off a couple of days ago and took a peek inside. Looked pretty clean. Can't wait to see my wife's face when she finally gets to drive it. Thanks everybody for all of the great advice and answers to my questions. I'm always open to any advice you guys have to offer.

Each # under the category such as brakes paint or any thing that car has will have a letter/# assigned to it. The letter and the # under each option is what you need to look up the option. Example: I have a 71 Road Runner that has a air grabber hood. The option code for that is N96. N being engine accessories category. In that category you will see a 9-(carb fresh air pkg) and a 6 in the box under it. The drive train uses two #'s for id. Some options use a combination of the two. You can look up the option codes on line.(link) You can get the pocket books that Galen Govie sells and are a wealth of information. I have some of them but all of my cars are 68 and after. I will look up what i can if my book has 67 in it. I wouldn't advise trying to contact Galen unless you have a supper rare car because he gets overwhelmed with people asking him stuff. You can pay him and he will give you a sheet that breaks down the cars options and such. Info is in his link.

There are several small rust spots on the body. Nothing you can see from several feet away but they ARE there and need to be dealt with. Other than that, the rest of the paint is in great condition. How would i go about getting this repaired? Do i deal with each individually or use the paint code and just re-paint the whole exterior with the original color? I'm really hesitant about that second choice. I know paint is a big part of maintaining originality, but we all know that where there is a small rust spot, a larger one lies beneath just like an ice burg. If i DO end up using the paint code how would i go about getting the paint i need to get this done? I will, of course, have a professional paint the car if this is the route i have to go. If dealing with each spot individually is the most advisable way to go then what is the best way to go about that? I've attached a pic. i'm sure if you enlarge it enough those rust spots will appear. Thanks in advance.
