Default 1980 dodge diplomat

I found one at a pretty decent price. Ad said no rust rot. (I'll have to actually check it out to see for myself) It has an I6 4.0l engine. Is there any more details of this engine? I assume that ads up to about 10-15 mpg?

I'm also wondering what I'm in for? Was this a complete dud? They only made a few thousand of them. Maybe it didn't sell well because of the name?

I read this: https://www.curbsideclassic.com/curb...es-discontent/ But it didn't go over much details, other than it doesn't have as much power as other similar cars of its time.

I'm trying to figure out why you put this in the "muscle car" section? My second question is why you bought a 6 cylinder? There cars where used as cop cars back then so they where available with V8's. Chrysler did back then what they are doing today, You can get a new Challenger with a 6 cylinder.
