Default throttle bodies

i am thinking about replacing mine on my car with a larger one. how hard is it to do yourself and how hard is it to take apart everything to get at it.. thanks

It's not hard at all. Just mark what plug or line goes where and unbolt the TB. make sure the gasket is in good shape before putting the new on, then hook everything back up. Don't forget to take the Negative off the battery before starting the procedure.

Most instructions tell you to remove the battery negative before working on anything, but mainly anything that deals with any electrical at all. The throttle body has sensors and they are an electrical component, disconnecting the battery guarantees that they do not get damaged by the connecting or disconnecting of the electrical plugs/connectors.

easy as pie , and i forgot to disconnect my battery , but everything turned out fine thank God

the other thing about disconnecting the battery is everytime you do an upgrade to the motor like a chip or tb after you reconnect it. start and stop motor 3 times. on the 3rd time leave truck running for a couple of minutes so the computer can recalibrate itself do to the upgrade
