SUPERCHIPS Tuner >>>>>>
I have a CAI, Gibson exhuast, and Superchips tuner on my Dak. While I have never had it Dyno'd, I do know that I have gotten definite power gains with each.
The Superchips (SC TUNER)tuner is nice in that it does save stock info to the handheld, and then is reset to that position when you want to change. Any dealer worth their salt can tell if you have chipped or used a programmer on a vehicle. Their first clue will be to look for other "visible" mods, CAI, exhuast, etc. Also, it will allow you to adjust for larger tires.
I have been using the SC Tuner for over a year now, the two dealers I work with regularly are aware of it, and so is DC as I have an extended factory warrenty. Before I take it in to the dealer for any service, I always reset to stock. To date there have been no issues with it.

i have been trying to find a unit for my 97 5.2 ram, seems like they dont haveone for it yet(hope im wrong) has anyone used te hypertech model yet??? or if you know of a superchip handheld unit for my rig please post up ,
thanks
thanks
i sent a email to superchips requesting info. there isnt a unit listed on the site for my truck, but im hoping there is one. if not ill have to go with the hypertech111 or a new pcm.
My bro purchased and installed superchips microtuner. He also has CAI, which seems to have helped with both power and mileage. I can say that there was really a noticeable difference in the engine/transmission performance.
The dealer CAN NOT void your warranty because you have an aftermarket add/s on. Federal Law
Q: Will it void my warranty?[/align]
A: No. It is illegal for a dealership to void your warranty based solely on the fact that you have installed an aftermarket product. But always remove the tuning before going to a dealer for service.
For information regarding denial of warranty coverage, go to the SEMA website

Yes it is against the law to void the ENTIRE manufacturer vehicle warranty just for having aftermarket parts, but they can void when your aftermarket part interferes with the way a system (engine, trans, suspension) was designed to work (increased igntion timing, higher trans line pressure, etc.). So yes they can void warranty on your blown engine or smoked trans, but happily put a left front wheelbearing assembly on at no cost (unless you have oversize tires). And yes we can see when an aftermarket programmer has been installed, even if it has been returned to stock. There are timers inside the computer that get reset and are a dead giveaway when a truck or car gets flashed to stock, and no, the timers are not reset with battery disconnect and they run until told to reset, vehicle running or not. So when you bring your truck to me and say you were just cruising down the road and it started missing, before I take the time to pull the head on Chryslers money I check and see the computer was reset 3 hours prior. Then i get to bill you. Why should the manufacturer have to pay to fix your car when you pushed past the limits it was engineered for. People complain about new car prices and "stealership" repair costs, parts prices. What do you expect? People juicing diesels to insane levels, overboosting srt-4's, racing to the end of your warranty 1/4 mile at a time.
Thousands of poeple are losing their jobs because of cutbacks from auto manufacturers and a huge part of the problem is warranty fraud.
Don"t get me wrong, i love fast cars, I've driven a customers dually 4x4 that smokes all 6 tires up the street, nitrous is amazing and turbo's rock. If you want to be a badass and have the fast truck, AT LEAST have the ***** to tell me you were running an aftermaket programmer when your 1 ton was smoking that Mustang GT
