RG Motorsports sponsors? car #'s? hearing that Robby Gordon could have John Deere or/and Red Bull [a long time Robby sponsor], still no word on a manufacturer or car number [he runs #55 in Busch, not used in Cup] for Robby. AND is was reported recently that Jack Daniel's is still in play and RCR along with Gordon are in the mix, so #7 could be the car number also. Not sure if Gordon still plans to run Busch with Fruit of the Loom or if they will move up in some form. And yes, have seen the image of Gordon at Atlanta wearing a John Deere cap!

UPDATE: Gordon will talk to each of the manufacturers, Ford, Chevy, Dodge about running their brand, but expects it to be a Ford or Dodge as Chevy is loaded with teams (NASCAR Scene Print). So guess no RCR engines?

UPDATE 2: being told that the car will be the #7 Ford and Larry Wallace will build the engines.(11-5-2004)

UPDATE 3: Robby Gordon said he's teaming with [#7 Ultra Motorsports] car owner Jim Smith next season, setting up a Nextel Cup team. "The only sponsors I can confirm are Harrah's - which just bought Caesars, to become the largest gaming company - and Fruit of the Loom," Gordon said. Gordon plans to run a 25-man team, though Nextel Cup rivals say that's much too small a staff for a major Cup effort.
