Massy Ferguson v. John Deere
Im still all play, even at work,
golf course is closed to members, nice day, nothing to do
Let's race the tractors!
So the asst. superintendant, Kevin, gets on the Massy Ferguson with the tall skinny tires
and I fire up the John Deere with the triple-wide turf tires
same 6cyl. engine (technically)
we line up on the service drive, and gun it for the one lane bridge 1/4 mile down
black smoke spews like a mother-----! he took off early but I know how to shift fron Low to High while rolling, so he's only ahead for a second or two, I get past him and thats all she wrote...stayed 1-2 lengths ahead the whole way.
now I'm 3-0 with him
golf carts, cushmans, and now tractors!
But then Jeff the old fart whines to the boss...
he just laughs and calls us idiots
Keep your races off the streets, race on the golf course!
