no i have heard it all over...seen it in magazines and ****...didnt think it was that big of a deal...damn...and estneon ya my stereo does weight a lot....and i do know how to drive...but ikd who did we slowed down about the same time...
Did you let the ATX shift by itself or did you manually shift?

When I race Ido a half throttle brake torqued launch from the line and I floor it around 10mph and thenlet it automatically shift into second gear then I manually shift it into 2nd gear around55mph(if your kcik down is set up properly 55mph is nearly perfect shift point)so it stays there till around 95mph(5800Rpm) when I shift into drive, nobody passes me when I do that not even when I was stock, nobody could touch me whenI kept second gear going till 5800 Rpm. I've torched a Focus a few times when my sohc was stock and had a clogged air filterand for him to be side by side with you says that you obviously don't know how to drive. Sorry but its true if you are close with a Focus while driving a Neon its driver error. I don't get passed after 80mph because I choose my battles wisely, well that and now I have a turbo on my car...lol

If you let it shift into 3rd gear anywhere close to 80mph your going to be making barely any advance on position, thats why you let it wind out around 95mph. I Raced a 80sMonte Carlo SSjust before my turbo was on and I waxed him so crazy from the line and from a 65mph launch that a few seconds after shifting into Drive from 2nd gear I was going 110mph and losing sight of him and I even put my blinker on and got in his lane to rubmy lead in.So then I slowed down to about 80mph and finally he passed me like 30 seconds later so i know he was going all out cuz he kept wanting to race and it was just rediculous.

From a 65mph start I pulled a 2 car lead on him till it shifted into 3rd at 80mph so thenI shifted it back into second gear and ended any chance of his of gaining ground andjust lost sight of him in my rear view mirror that was followed by a vulger word and middle finger fromhis passenger when we got off the highway and were sitting at the stop lights.

I'm not making this **** up go try keeping it in second gear till 95mph and see how fast it gets there you'll **** yourself.

ive always wanted to race a focus, but they never try.. there are two in my town that are exterior modified, but i believe one of them came stock like that, and the other just has rims and tinted windows
