Gaughan Back in Truck Series!
Orleans Racing announced Monday that owner Michael Gaughan's son Brendan would race as a teammate to full-time driver Steve Park in the 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Brendan Gaughan, who led the Craftsman Truck Series championship going into the final race of the 2003 season before finishing fourth in the championship, will drive a second Dodge Ram fielded by Orleans in at least the 16 Truck Series races that are companion events with Nextel Cup Series races.
Gaughan, who led the Truck Series with six wins in 2003, was released last week as Penske Jasper Racing's driver of its No. 77 Kodak/Jasper Dodge in the Nextel Cup Series.
Park, who finished ninth in points this season with five top-five and 10 top-10 finishes, will continue to drive the No. 62 Orleans Dodge full-time.
