Your backups are only good until the start of the race. Once the race starts, your drivers are locked in.

The reason for backups is this: For example, after you pick on Thursday (usually), if you feel that maybe since Jimmie ran better in practice and qualifying than Gordon. You might switch them out.

anybody know if there is a radio station on air the broadcasts the race live in the New York City area????

 

Yeah this is gay. You can listen to the MRN broadcast on NASCAR.com if you have trackpass and on Sirius satellite radio but thats all I know.
