Tickets Anyone?
Anyone had any tickets? How bad?

I have had two. One was for a 55 in a 35 ($205.00). I was actually doing 80 but I saw him at the last second and jumped on the brakes. He knew what I was doing and man did he yell. Worse yet I was in a construction zone so it was a 25. He clocked me at 55 so thats double over plus a work zone. He asked me where I wanted my truck towed. Well I pointed out that it was 11:30pm and there wasn't any construction going on yet (I was at a friend's, on the way there, there was no sign, so they put it out that night and hadn't started working yet). He agreed and Thank God he wrote the ticket for a block south of where we were so it would be a 35mph zone. I ended up doubling it so it wouldn't be on my record.

My second ticket was 3 hours ago on the highway. I was doing 81 in a 65. The cop was nice and also apologized for writing me a ticket, "Sorry about this, you were doing 81 and 15 over is the limit, you were 16 over so I really have to give you a citation." 1 MILE PER HOUR SLOWER AND I WOULD HAVE HAD A WARNING!!!!!! I WANTED TO HIT MYSELF! The cop also explained to me how I can pay for it and double it without my parents ever knowing, with my dad buying the SRT Ram in March, I took up the offer.

I have also had 2. The first was for not having eye protection as a passenger on a motorcycle. I was riding with a friend and I didn't know that I needed eye protection. The cop was a cocky arrogant ***** trying to show his s**t in front of a rookie. He said that I knew it and that I was trying to hide my face from him when I was on the bike, we were at an intersection turning right and they were to are left going straight on the road that we were turning on to. I was looking right, the direction that we were turning and he claims I was hiding my face, BS. So that was about a $90+ ticket.

My last one was a speeding ticket, paced at 85 MPH in a 65 MPH zone in my Shelby Z. A friend of mine was bragging and being all cocky about his Z34 that he had recently got. Him, my step-brother and I, all in our own cars, were going to the place where he bought his Z34. We get on the freeway and he is hot rodding it a bit, afterwards he claimed he wasn't, so I wasn't going to just let it go so I dug into my turbo a bit and passed him with ease. He does pretty good, but since I'm ahead by quite a few car lengths I'm not in it all the way. I'm watching straight ahead and watching him in my rear view mirror. All of the sudden I notice him drop back rather quickly, then I glance to my right and see why. It was too late, I just went busting past a police van so I let off the gas and coast to a lower speed praying for a miracle. After a minute or so I see the police van with his lights blazing right on my rear. I pull over and he goes through the routine,"do you know how fast you were going", and I reply,"No sir I don't. My speedometer doesn't work sometimes, it kicks in and out when it wants to." I'm sure he didn't believe me, but I was actually telling the truth(and it still does it to this day). He told me he knows that I was doing well over 115 MPH when I went by him, but he doesn't have radar or laser and that he did pace me at 85 MPH. A cruiser pulled off the road about an 1/8 of a mile ahead and backed up to just in front of my car, so at this point I figure that I'm screwed and that I'm going to jail. Luckily enough he let me off with just a 20 MPH over speeding ticket that cost me $87, which is less than the eye protection ticket.

i had one ticket and A FEW warning. one warning was going 90 in a 55,
the guy was REAL cool and gave me a $25 seat belt violation and told me
to fight it so i wouldnt have to pay anything, needless to say i felt
pretty lucky so i just paid the $25. i was expecting a big one. another
warning was an 80 in a 55, the cop was like chris rock, it was also 1
in the a.m. and it was raining. i just remember him saying "i was going
80, AND YOU PULLED AWAY FROM ME." he said that like 8 times, i was
oblivious he was ever behind me. the ticket was a 54 in a 30. i got a
$265. and in massachusetts, you dont get to double the ticket to escape
it being on your record, it just goes to the record.

90 in 55,89in 55, 65in 40,racing,reckless driving,74 in a 55. I guess when you have that many ponies under your foot those are the prices you pay.
I have valentine one and all the other crap. Doesn't matter. If yopur going to get caught you will get caught.
But fought them all and won them all. albeit with the help of a politically connected attorney!!!!

I've had enough to where I've lost track, butmost in my Sunfire and other people's cars, only one in my truck... I'm much smarter in my truck... LOL! I got them all in a relatively short period of time.
But I my worst was a speeding on the Freeway. I was written up for 85 in a 70 but I was really doing well over 110. Thank goodnessa short skirt and some sweet smiling can help! Phew! LOL!
And {so far} I've paid well over $750 in fines, court fees and the like. LOL! But now I have a clean record. Well... for now... that's until they catch me.

Well we aren't all so lucky Dodgegirl, if a cop pulled me over and I was wearing a small skirt and smiled at him, I'd probably be arrested. It doesn't go the other way either, girl smiles at guy cop or cries, a lot of the time everything is ok. Guy smiles at a girl cop (I've tried), she goes on a major power trip.
I got a ticket once when i was 16.
I was on some back country road and was going 40 right before the speed limit changed from 25 to 35 the cop pulled me over and wrote me up i was explaining to him how i could see the sign and he gave me some crap about how he waslike well i was in the 25 zone and he went off about that ...you know how they can be when they try to get their quota... lol
Well anyway ,2 moths later i was in court fighting the $150 something ticket(not exactly sure) and the 3 points and he gave me and he never showed.... so the judge was like i guess I'm gonna have to let you go. I got a refund and no point. The money wasn't the big deal, it was the points b/c being 16 that would do hell to my insurance.
All in all, i was happy

I would hate to have had a ticket at that age with my first car, '71 Roadrunner. At 18/19 it was $175 a month for state minimum coverage with a clean record.

But my Sunfire was a stick shift and I did some... unbelievable ...things with it. LOL! And frequently got caught... but somehow me and the Lady never get caught... we are much faster though.
