so i was at the races this evening. 1/8 mile. there was a 1500+hp mustang. and the mods werent even done on it!!!! it was crazy!! it raced an srt-4. it let the srt-4 get a head start of 1-2 seconds. then it launched off the line being behind 4-5 car lengths and got a time of 6.6sec!!!!! jeeeez!! oh, and to top off my night, there were 2 badass mopars. a 2nd gen ctd that ran a 7.3@ 95mph and this super bee which was brought in to the races by a sick *** lifted 2006 mega cab 2500 ctd:

There was a vette at the nhra 1/8 mile in jax. Hit 131.
Next time he raced he got sideways right after launch, almost hit the wall. He took that as a sign to stop, put it in his car hauler and left. Why spend so much money and only drive it on a dragstrip.

 

soooo true, i like a fast car that is street legal....much more to enjoy then....

 

That's moving right along... When I ran 12.33 in the quarter my 1/8 was7.903 @ 87.44.

 

so were talking about 8th mile? it took 1500hp to get 6.6s in the 8th mile?
