Default FitzBradshaw Racing "Charges" Into 2005!

The off-season is a busy time for race teams and this year is no exception for FitzBradshaw Racing as the team switches manufacturers from Chevrolet to Dodge in 2005.

“It takes two to three weeks to change the body of a car,” said Team Manager Bill Farnsworth. “Our guys have really stepped up to the task working over 12 hours a day, five to six days a week.”

With the 2005 season quickly approaching, switching the fleet of over 25 cars to Dodge Chargers has presented extra challenges to the over 40 mechanics and fabricators who have been hard at work since the last race of the 2004 season.

“The main obstacle is time, but everything is going well,” said Scott Eggleston, the new Director of Competition for FitzBradshaw Racing. “Things are busy and everyone is working hard. The guys have really pulled together and are doing a great job.”

The move from Chevrolet to Dodge comes after FitzBradshaw Racing entered into an alliance with Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates. The alliance affords FitzBradshaw Racing technical and engineering support and has welcomed David Stremme as the driver of the No. 14 Navy Accelerate Your Life Dodge Charger.

“We are very excited to join the Dodge family,” stated Armando Fitz. “We are expanding as a team and look to the future with high aspirations. There is no doubt that Dodge will be instrumental in helping us reach our goals.”

FitzBradshaw Racing will run a third car in 2005, and a driver and sponsor announcement is expected in the near future.

FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NASCAR Veteran Armando Fitz and Pro Football Hall of Fame Member and Emmy winning broadcaster Terry Bradshaw. A multi-car team, FitzBradshaw Racing continues to grow with sponsors like Supercuts, Hot Tamales, the Navy, and Cottman Transmission.

FitzBradshaw is prominently displayed on the SPEED Channel reality show, NBS 24/7. The series runs for 40-plus weeks, chronicling the lives of select NASCAR Busch Series drivers and their teams. More information regarding FitzBradshaw Racing can be obtained by visiting FitzBradshawRacing.com.
