Racing With Jesus Dodge Driver on the tube:
Morgan Shepherd, driver of the #89 Racing With Jesus Dodge, will appear on the nationally televised "Praise" television show on the Trinity Broadcasting Network Thursday night [Jan 20th]. The show, which is taped live on the same day, runs nightly at 10:00pm/et. "It's not like being on 'West Wing' or hosting 'Regis and Kathie Lee' but I'd like to think it's more meaningful," grinned the 62-year-old NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver. NASCAR drivers [Jeff Gordon/Jamie McMurray] are scheduled to appear on those two television shows. "Maybe this is the kind of show an NBC could use more of," he said. "And if not the networks, the country sure could." Shepherd, obviously, is outstanding in his Christian beliefs and in utilizing major league stock car racing as a means to evangelize. "We're just going to talk about the race team and our hopes and goals for 2005 and the years after that," he said. "I don't think they are ready to discuss, 'Morgan Shepherd, The Movie,' quite yet."
