Laser versus 09 V6 Challenger.
So, Im puttering along my usual closed circuit course last night, when I got lined up with a guy in a dark silver V6 challenger. The exhaust seemed a bit louder than the other 3.5s ive driven, but it looked stock. The laser doesnt idle very well, and its quite choppy, and i noticed that the younger guy driving the challenger and his girl seemed to be having quite a laugh, gesturing at the laser a few times, eying it up.
as usual, no respect for the laser, so as the cross traffic got the yellow light, i gave the laser a rev, which got a laugh out of both of them. i eased up as we got the green, and before i shifted out of first, i had a slight lead on him, and as i got into third gear i had a healthy lead on the guy, sticking my hand out the window, gesturing for him to pass me...i slowed to let them catch up, and they blew past me, cutting me out. i guess losing to a little blue plymouth wasnt that funny to them.

i will say that the 300 that i had for a rental was pretty healthy, for what it is...it made short work of the stratus, and did smokey burnouts. it could have been a good option for the challenger, but like the 4.0 mustangs, it needs a manual transmission.
