Parts Conficated @ Daytona:
NASCAR found several illegal parts and pieces during its inspection process at Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR inspectors confiscated the transmission from Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Chevrolet because it had the wrong gear ratio. That will likely lead to a monetary fine for the #8 Budweiser team. #33-Kerry Earnhardt and #23-Mike Skinner both had unapproved window nets, #80-Andy Belmont and #52-Larry Gunselman both had unapproved fire extinguishers and #5-Kyle Busch's car had unapproved spacers. #24-Jeff Gordon and #7-Robby Gordon were both found to have unapproved under-pans on their cars.

I appreciate your forum but this sounds like sour grapes already. There are more Chevies and therefore there will be more violations found on them than other vehicles in total. Also, this is big business and you get away with what you get away with. From what I have heard recently, Jr. is lacking h.p. from his car and he has a new questionable? crew chief. He is going to have to do more drafting than ever before. No bull, here......do ya'll think a Chevy will win the Daytona tomorrow or a Chevy? ..or maybe a Chevy?

It's not the crew chief. It's the restrictor plate with the same holes as everyone else uses. He didn't get the Earnhardt plate this race. They messed up and accidentally gave it to Johnson.
