My dad owned a four door Metro and that thing was SLOW!! They've got turbo's in them now I believe and are a bit faster. Still, that's pretty pathetic!

I read about a Geo Metro making 120 bhp............. but then i woke up. LOL

 

Actually there is a pretty quick metro that I have seen handle a stock Neon. Sorry but you sounded like you needed to be informed. Dont always ***-ume.

You don't live in the Phoenix area do you? Just the other day there was a beat up white metro that actually swung out to pass me going up the on ramp (I stopped for the red-light and then made my right turn, he just ran through the redlight and swung to the outside). I paced him (unintentionally, was just rolling through the gears, shifting at 3k) to about 60mph, finally the 2 lanes were merging to one, so I gave it a little gas and got in front. The sad thing is, I never went over 1/2 throttle and never got into boost.

 

your post makes no sense, you start off like your about to talk how theres a fast metro where you live or w/e then you say you passed him and you werent even into boost yet

Uh. I never said anything about it being fast. Just the guy driving it like it was a fast car and figured it might be the same guy from the first post, if the original poster lived in the Phoenix area, either that or beat up Geo Metro's are typically driven by guys who think they are faster than they are.

He was busting *** to pass me and I was just rolling through the gears without trying. How does that equate to saying the Metro was a fast car?
