Got slicks mounted up
Got slicks mounted up. 26x10-15 mickey thompson on factory 15x8 wheel.
Some people think I am nuts for racing a V6 truck. I have to agree. But it's alot cheaper than racing a V8. I'd easily be another $1,000 deep if it was a V8 from headers, intake, ect.
Note the below are 1/8 mile times. Kennedale runs a MPH on the 330 cone.
Stock,
2.678 | 7.676 @ 46.00 | 11.798 @ 58.94
with only the SCT and 180 stat, best pass was
2.684 | 7.565 @ 47.10 | 11.574 @ 60.30
with 180 stat, SCT, clutch fan delete, 1.7 roller rockers, 4.10 gears, best pass was
2.610 | 7.282 @ 48.95 | 11.132 @ 62.90
After adding the high stall (2200 RPM) convertor and methanol,
2.460 | 7.7073 @ 48.86 | 10.920 @ 62.37
Somewhere in there I added an MSD 6-Plus ignition and HVC coil, then I put a ratching spool in it in february, and now we have slicks. I'm hopig they will get my 60 down to around a 2.32-2.36 and ET down to 9.99 to 10.20. I still need to put new plug wires on it.
