im hanging out with this old high school buddy who has a 4.8 liter v8 chevy truck, and we end up going to this one guys house to hang out and party, and he is talking to this guy with a lightning, and says "its still a ford" so i laugh and he says "well you drive a dodge, so thats not much better" i get pissed and say "well ill sure as hell beat you" so he says, "ok, lets go then"

so i follow him to some backroad and we line up. I power brake and honk 3 times and we take off, and i get about a bumper on him from the launch, which he slowly gains back in 1st gear. Second gear i pull about 3/4 of a truck on him and keep slowly pulling til i hit 3rd gear.


3rd gear comes up and at about 75-80, he pulls past me (he said he was still in 2nd gear) and we slow down to head back to the party.

when we got there, he told me he was sweating, and how he underestimated t3h dak. He says good race and everything and we kick it and tip a few beers back together.

It was a good race, i just wish my truck's 3rd gear didnt suck.


btw, he had headers and exhaust, and i only have exhaust




anyone else realize how ****ty the 05 dak's 3rd gear is?
