QC Hemi 4x4 vs Silverado Z71
I am not a "racer" by any means, and did not buy my truck to beat people between lights. However, it is a Hemi, and well, it's easy to get on the gas.
Anyway, on my way home from work tonight, I'm at a stoplight on a long stretch of road. Two lanes, open on both sides (so no cop can setup shop behind a building). I'm first at the light, and a guy in a black Z71 extended cab pulls up next to me - brand new, still has the dealer tags on it. I see him inching up on the light, so I'm gonna get on it. My truck is an 04 QC, no mods just a CAI and Flowmaster. But both of our trucks are 4x4's, so I decide to take him.
The light turns green, and we both go. NOT EVEN CLOSE. He was 2 or 2 1/2 lengths behind and could never make it up. He let up on it and started doing the speed limit. When we come to the next light, he doesn't even look at me, just has this "pissed" off look on his face. The look on his face was better than the race itself.
