Last night I had the pleasure of meeting a kick *** group of guys from south Olathe and man were they impressed by the Neon. [sm=smiley20.gif]

The first car in the group I got to race, wich was actually a truck was a Chevy Silverado with flowmaster exhaust and a programmer chip, but apparently it didnt have much affect, as me and the owner were discussing later at taco bell. We went from a dig and I stayed right with him. Man let me tell you that Mopar Performance Cam and CAI is not bad at all.

The next kid in the group was in a red GrandAm GT with Ram Air. From a roll I had him pretty damn good. Probably about a car length. Now from a stop he beat me bad. Mostly because he has the advantage of traction control while my Neon does the 30 second burn out before it goes anywhere lol. And that leads me to my next question. Whats the launch techneiq that would be most effective for those of us that dont have traction control.

P.S. Any 96+ Neon owners who are still running the 2.0 SOHC Motor and your into racing you should definantly look into getting a Performance Cam from Mopar. Lucky me my car was built with it, but you should maby make the investment.

i launch my neon at anywhere from 3800-4000 rpms and i hook up everytime

 

I usally lauch at about 2600 to 3200 RPM's It usally chirps em but grabs quick. No spinning. and I run her to about 5300 RPMs and chirp 2nd
