we can't responsibly suggest where you can participate in any street races, because of the fact that it's illegal. Street races happen at near every red light in the summer. If you want to go bombing around town looking for a broken neck or a lifetime of repaying damages for 4 deaths, that's up to you. If you're looking to race, take it to the track where it's legal.

lol It's not fast and the furious... It's isnt crazy stupid stuff...

Where I'm from in Fort Myers, Florida, we have street races at an old air port or a certain place that I can't say. We are always safe and everything is done right... Hundreds of people show up, instead of the few that go to the track...

It's really fun meeting with everyone and no one has EVER gotten hurt..

The people that get hurt in street racing are the idiots that do it at lights, on streets that have traffic; not the organized races away from everyone...

On another note, I now live in Tallahassee and there is NOTHING around. No street races and no track. Seems the pan handle is not very active in the car world... Except for maybe Panama City...

When I was stationed down at Eglin AFB years and years ago, people used to race down at the seawall on 98 between Ft Walton and Destin. The reason for this, is/was 2 fold. 1st, it was the safest place to do it, with several miles of strait, flat divided hwy w/no oncoming traffic, no side roads, and nothing blocking your view as it was water on both sides. 2nd, the closest "dragstrip" was a defunct section of road 90 miles away in Atmore, Al. and it was only an 1/8th mile. Atmore is about 40-50 miles due north of P'cola, just across the Alabama state line. I've raced both.

I used to live in Panama City Beach FL, and I know of one place that street races USED to take place, Its a highway in NOrth Bay County called 388 every Thursday - Sunday Night. It's been a while since I've been up there so im not sure if the cops are patrolling often, I used to go all the time, and it was fun to outrun the cops, even tho if i got caught it would be more like a family reunion (I know all the damn cops in PCB and Bay county... Had a father who was one)...

it would be like

"Alright, license, registrati... Hey is that you Justin? Holy **** how have you been? I see you've been doing a little street racing, well I'm gonna let you off with a warning but I'll have to tell your parents" blah blah blah

(Yeah its happened before lol)...
