helped a friend run 10's!
I swapped out some engine work and other stuff for a motorhome and built my friend 440 in his 69 Roadrunner. He took it to the Mopars at the Strip race in Las Vegas and he ran a best of 10.91 @ 122.6!
I'm stoked since the engine was total shambles two weeks before the race, I had to get a good crank, rocker arms, camshaft/lifters, new rings and bearings, and I honed it myself and thrashed it together and 1st pass off the trailer with a 750 Demon was 11.22. I loaned him my Dominator and it improved to 11.0! After that it ran the 10.9 but the next day we had a 30mph headwind and it still ran 11.0's, but I think it would have gone quicker since the 1/8 mile time was 6.89.
I'm proud of the little junkyard motor! Just a sidenote, the car is light, it weighs 3260 with driver so it's wasn't too hard to run 10's with it, but I'm still proud!
