svo supercharged
I had a run in with a 4.6l mustang that was badged as a supercharged svo the other day. I was able to slowly pull on it from a 60-100mph roll. Is this normal or was the car misbadged or was he possibly not trying as hard as i was. It was a mid to late 90's convertible 4.6l supercharged svo with side pipes and I am the proud owner of an '03 bone stock srt-4.

hmm..a few things..
1. svo is a trim line of a turbo 4 cylinder mustang made from 1984 to 1986...it came only as a turbo 4...
2. how was it badged as supercharged? ford has never put any badges claiming forced induction on the blown models..and on top of that, there wasnt a factory blown mustang until 2003.
3. if it was a mid to late 90s SVT, and it was blown, he wasnt trying to race you...srt4s are quick little cars, but in stock form, versus a blown cobra (if thats what you meant) it would have rolled you...you would be fortunate to keep up with a stock cobra, let along a supercharged model. they were in the mid to low 13s, stock...

answer to number 2...in some summit or jegs magazine you can order little badges for your vehicle, they have Supercharged, Turbocharged, etc, so it couldve been a fake badge

i didnt think it was badged correctly....it was definitely a 4.6l as it had the 4.6 gt badging on the front quarter panel....i didnt hear a supercharger but that certainly doesnt mean it wasnt supercharged especially if the guy was running low boost...anyway it was hard to hear anything over the side pipes..thanks for the info

Blown V8>stock SRT-4. It deffinently wasn't a Cobra. (period) It was probably a ricer. Good kill though. Keep eating rice! If we all work together we can defeat all the ricers!
