By: fst stratus
Owned: 1 year
Review ID: #484128
7.8 Overall Rating

Pros:
the 2.7 ltr stratus picks up very fast. will leave a factory 5.0 mustang two cars back doing 0 to 60 mph
this is what an msn auto reviewer claims about the a 04 stratus sedan it cant be tru right?

this reviewer must have been an idiot...

it will leave a 5.0 mustang? no, it wont. it doesnt matter what trim line 5.0 mustang it is, it will beat a 2.7L sedan, stock for stock. also, why would he compare a 2004 stratus sedan to a 5.0 mustang, which hasnt been built since 1996? the 5.0 stangs, in either the fox body, or the sn95s, were only high 13 to mid 15 second cars (depending on the year and trimline), but those times are ALL good enough to romp a stratus sedan from a stop.

and judging by the username, it wasnt done by a reviewer..that is a review, by an owner who loves his car...maybe he ran one of his friends who had a beat up, poorly taken care of 5.0, and since the stang is so beat up, it might have beat it...but i doubt it...my car will handle a 2.7L sedan, and i cant beat stock 5.0s...especially in the fox body....the sn95s were pigs, so some of them, if poorly driven, are 16 second cars...

do you think it would even be a close race because the 5.0 s i think the 93 body was rated at 205 hp and the stratus has 200

an automatic 93 stang GT is a stock low 16 second car...faster with the manual...so with a manual trans, an RT coupe or sedan should beat the stock auto stang, and it will be close with the manual stang. 2 cars? no.

5.0 is like 230 hp 300 ft torq at the crank in 1988 it went down in 1993 because of emisions to like 205 275
