Well, I ran my Dakota for its first real race today. Me and a friend of mine who drives a V8 extended cab tundra 4x4 with a CAI went down to an old back road thats been marked off for the 1/4. We set another friend at the end of the track and had another call off the start. At the start I got an awesome launch because of the gritty road surface and had a full length on him through first and second. But I shifted to third way too early and he started to come back on me. When we passed the finish he was at my door and I just barely beat him. I think we were at about 80 or so when we crossed the line. I'm still not the best driver and my truck doesn't have posi-track but I think if I was a better driver and I could do a better launch without much spinning I would have spanked his truck. Anyways, I'm still kinda pround of my v6 truck even though I think those tundra's are turds when it comes to racing.
