ok, I am so so so happy, I just got my liscense today and went out tonight. My dad gave me his 2004 Ram Hemi Black QC 4x4 all to myself, he went and bought a Jeep Srt8, anyway I am so happy driving down the road, pull up to a bunch of teenagers in a Ford Escape v6, now I know that isn't anything special but I did it! Off the light he got a jump (because how light that thing is) then I just mopped him up, it was wierd though. I had it floored and going about 90, he caught me! then it kicked in at about 100 and he was eating my dust. But why did he catch up to me? none the less. My first day as a driver and 1-0.

I think it was a v6,none the less. I won, my truck looks nicer also.

 

nice kill for sure and welcome to the forum. I'm 18 and just got a 2006 hemi ram and love it. take it easy on the racing your first day though, learn the truck first and don't kill yourself.

I'm not sure on that, I don't think so because the MDS only kicks in when you're nursing the throttle on a non stop drive. Could be wrong though, I'm not a DC mechanic

Those V6 Escape's aren't too slow...they might like 15.xx. And I know QC Hemi's aren't too fast either. Non the less good kill! 2006 Hemi's have the MDS and no it won't make your truck slower, but it will make it harder to mod from what I hear.

 

No, He caught up to me but I will admit I was letting back a bit, when I saw him coming I was like WOT and blew him away.

 

so you had it floored or you were letting off...and in the next 10mph you blew him away?
