#09 Dodge Cup Team Troubles!
Belts Illegal And Confiscated Bobby Hamilton Jr's, NASCAR Nextel Cup #09 Miccosukee Dodge had a full set of lap belts confiscated at New Hampshire International Speedway. The red belts had expired in June of 2002, over two years ago.

i think that is kind of embarrassing...i dont know how that sort of thing can go unnoticed...
i just checked..the harnesses in the stratus are more up-to-date than that.[:'(]

haha...yes...
and yes...im serious..mine are also expired by NHRA/NASCAR standards, and because of that i got them VERY cheap. adds a nice look, and when i got them i spoke to a state policeman, and he said that so long as they are fastened down, they are legal for street use, and i think they are more comfortable than are the normal belts.
bob, has bobby qualified for a race this season? i thought he was more of a busch/craftsman series driver?

Mopartodd, nope Bill ran the #9 car for the past three seasons under the Dodge colors, now Kasey Kahne drives the car. Bill has ran in two different number Evernham Motorsports Dodges this year #91 and #98. The #09 Dodge is owned by James Finch who you might know, because he owns the #1 Yellow Dodge in the Busch Series!

Man, I'll never keep this stuff straight.

i just dont understand how that sort of thing goes unnoticed...and for 2 years?!?! i know for drag racing, even at my meager level, the cars that have harnesses have them inspected every time they tech in! NASCAR tech should be at fault as much as that team.
