Default Beamer Burning

The other evening I was behind an older late 80's - early 90'sBMW with a dual outlet muffler with large tips that was taking off very slowly and short shifting 1st gear to the point I almost ran into the back of it in my SRT-4. They finally started to use the long skinny one on the right and it was very loud. We get to the next red light and they leave it when it changes pretty well as do I, but I'm still behind them and from the next light it's the same and they get on it hard and jump into the right lane, so I indulge them by passing by my street, which is why I was behind them in the left lane. Once they get over in the rightlane and my boost hits it's bye-bye Beamer. It wasn't even worth my time, but they asked for it and even after I get in a left turn only lane to go back to my street and go home, they got back in the left lane to do a ricer take off from that light knowing I cannot do anything about it.

I was also kinda pissed about not running a turbo intercooled 240SX that was screwing with me on the same stretch of road during New Years weekend, but I'm not risking it on a holiday weekend with cops everywhere andfines doubled. He was trying to get me to race him and I really wanted too, but it wasn't worth the risk then in a very busy area on a holiday. Hopefully I'll run into him again on a regular day.[sm=icon_sneaky.gif]

Good stuff. Think it would have been the same with the comperable, current (whatever number it is- why can't they just give their cars names) beemer? I know alot of misguided people love those overpiced, overweight sleds for some reason. Just curious...

my stratus r/teats those things for breakfast, its the kids who buy the beemers from the used car lots with over 150k miles on it, the ones with the rusted tail pipes and that scratching noise when they shift , most foreign cars are junk

Don't hate on the bimmer's guys. They are solid, nice, fast vehicles. My best friend hada '95 E36 M3 with 115k on the odometer and could consistanlty run 14.3's (only had a CAI). If you haven't had the pleasure of riding in one, I suggest you try it out. They are VERY nice.

I give the owner of this one a little respect because it at least had a stock style dual tip muffler that was probably around 3" each and not an oversized fart can that's a single 12" coffee can type ricer.
