Late night Chevelle
I usually post on the moparchat board, until I found this forum, this is one I posted recently:
I'm coming home from the track about 0130 and I pull up behind this Chevelle that's in the right turn lane. I'm doing about 45 and he's doing 25, I think he was waiting for me.
I get up behind him and he's going slower, like trying to irritate me, as if his goofy gauge cluster on his A pillar wasn't irritating enough.
Anyway, we turn right and he gets on it like he's gonna dust me, but I let him get about 5 car lengths and I go by him in short order, much to his amazement! Those flowmasters are pretty loud at 130 in the morning and only 2 cars on the road
One 1970 Chevelle bites the dust, I was hoping for a better race!

Your on Moparchat too eh. I started out with my first forum experience there even though I became a member here first. They are more focused on the classic and muscle Mopars there and with their huge membership, that is where I learned the how to's of forums. I stopped back by here and gave it a shot and simply prefered it here, it's a little more relaxed and friendly here. I met several great people there, like NZ440RT, and I was a member there before he was and he just shot up like a rocket with his post count. But that's just the way NZ is, he's a real friendly great person and I stop by there once in a great while to say hi and see what's going on. I was glad to see that he became a Moderator over there a while back. Over there I am both 71ROADRUNNER and 71RR, my first member application was with 71ROADRUNNER, but I must have accidently deleted my confirmation E-mail and couldn't log in under that name, so I re applied as 71RR and that is what all my posts are under over there, 71RR.
Cool 71, I don't post a whole lot compared to others but I enjoy a good story and love exchanging information about engine build-ups and different combo's.
I need to learn more about automatic transmissions too so I can start rebuilding my own.
Thanks for the reply, talk at you next time--Jim

Nor do I, I only have a few hundred posts over there. I have rebuilt an A727-B Torqueflite a few years ago, it's pretty easy as long as you keep everything in order. The biggest and most important part about rebuilding them is securing the heavily spring loaded plates before, during and after removing the big lock ring retainers. They have a huge amount of pressure behind them with several strong springs and you have to be careful, because if anything slips or comes loose it could seriously injure or kill you.
