Default RE: Gatorade Duels Lineups

Dodge has 7 drivers with team mates in the 2nd Duel. Only 2 in the 1st. Maybe they can work some magic together?

OK Montoya finished last because Jeff Gordon got into him and something broke. Busch was leading the race with Newman in 3rd and Kenseth between them. Newman went low and Kurt didn't, so Newman fell back to 8th and it left Busch all alone to battle it out and Gordan won it with a push from someone, forgot who it was.

Toyota didn't do well at all...

Wow ... 5 DNF's for Toyota ... not a good sign.

Why the lap # discrepancy? 62 in #1 and 60 in #2 ...

Duel #2 ran 2 extra laps because of a late caution.

Gordon's winning car fails Duels inspection
Will start 42nd in Daytona 500 because of infraction

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jeff Gordon's Duels-winning racecar failed post-race inspection on Thursday, dropping the former Daytona 500 winner to a 42nd-place starting spot.
Gordon's car was deemed "close to an inch" too low, according to NASCAR officials, due to the fact that a bolt on the shock fastener was misaligned.
NASCAR vice president of competition Robin Pemberton said he feels the action was unintentional.
No fines or point deductions will be assessed, according to Pemberton.
"We're sure this wasn't intentional," Pemberton said.
Despite the infraction, Gordon still goes into the record books as the winner.
