Good jab making a name for the 4.7L!! Did you guys have the same rearend gear ratios? I've read that the 4.7 acts more like a car engine and is more willing to rev high, while the 5.2 and 5.9 are more truck-type engines......would you agree with that?

I've had two Dakotas w/ 5.9l's and one w/ 4.7l, and yeah, the 4.7 is a little more "carlike". Def more power up top.

i had a durango with the 5.9 and yeah once u got up over 5,000 it lost its power on my 4.7 i have good pull up to about 5,300-5,500 rpms then it looses it i tack out at 6,000 when i shift on the colum and i dont do it when im racing i just stayin drive. and we both have the 3.55 gears in our trucks.

Thanks for the camparison, I don't remember where I read that, but I'm glad I got a real confirmation of it.
